TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) govern your entry into and participation in the promotion. Please read these terms carefully before entering, as by entering, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

In the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications related to the promotion, including advertising or promotional materials, these Terms and Conditions will take precedence. Please retain a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your information.

The Promoter takes data protection seriously. By entering this promotion, you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy at https://www.mars.com/privacy and agree to any personal information you submit as part of this promotion being held and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy, the UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

ELIGIBILITY

1. This promotion is open to residents of the UK and the Republic of Ireland, except for employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, associated agents or anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.
2. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over at the date of entry.
3. Purchase necessary.
4. Internet access and registration required.
5. Bulk entries, entrants using multiple addresses, email addresses, numbers, catch-all domains or entering via agents, third parties, organised groups, syndicates or aliases, or entries automatically generated by computer, will not be accepted. Entries received by any means other than as specified in these Terms and Conditions (see Conditions 7 - 10 below) will be rejected. Any person persistently trying to circumvent the entry process will be disqualified immediately. No incomplete, corrupted entries or multiple entries from the same person beyond the daily limit will be accepted. The entry must be made directly by the person entering the promotion. Only genuine valid entries will be considered.

PROMOTIONAL PERIOD

6. The promotion will run from 00:00 on 07 April 2025 to 23:59 on 31 October 2025 (the “Promotional Period”). Entries must be received within the Promotional Period in order to be valid.

HOW TO ENTER FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN

7. For the chance to win, purchase any promotional jar of Dolmio® as listed in Condition 13 during the Promotional Period.
8. For UK residents: Scan the QR code on the Dolmio® jar or go to www.dolmio.co.uk/win, register your name, email address and upload a photograph (no larger than 10MB in jpg, gif or png format) of the Dolmio® product purchased and your meal prepared using it.

For ROI residents: Scan the QR code on the Dolmio® jar or go to www.dolmio.co.uk/win, answer the qualifying multiple-choice question correctly and register your name, email address and upload a photograph (no larger than 10MB in jpg, gif or png format) of the Dolmio® product purchased and your meal prepared using it.

9. By submitting an entry, participants consent for photo submissions to be used by the Promoter for publicity and marketing purposes (which includes but is not limited to on Promoter's owned social channels) without further remuneration. If the photo submission also shows the likeness of any person, the entrant confirms that they have sought that person’s consent for their image to be used by the Promoter. The quality of an entrant’s submitted photograph will not otherwise impact their chance of winning a prize. By submitting your entry, you are agreeing and confirming that:
   1. You shall be solely responsible for your entry and the consequences of posting or publishing it;
   2. The entire copyright in the submission and all content included in it of any nature, including images, script etc is original and belongs to you;
   3. You have permission from all people appearing in the entry to submit the submission for these purposes;
   4. Your photograph does not disclose any personal or confidential information belonging to you or anyone else; and
   5. Your submission is not false, a misrepresentation, obscene, offensive, discriminatory or libellous.
10. Only one entry per person, per day will be accepted. A different meal photograph should be submitted with each entry. Anyone entering more frequently will be disqualified. Maximum of one instant win prize (see Condition 17) per person.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to request and gather information or obtain further evidence to confirm the legitimacy of an entry / win.
12. Only valid entry information will be accepted, and the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify and reject any entries accompanied by inappropriate or offensive photographs. All entries are subject to verification. Entry information may not be sold or exchanged.

MAIN PRIZE WINNER SELECTION

15. One winner will be randomly selected from all valid entries submitted during the Promotional Period using a verifiably random computer process within 5 working days of the end of the Promotional Period.

MAIN PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION

16. The winner of the main prize will be contacted via email using the email address used on the registration form when submitting their entry within 3 working days of winner selection and will be required to respond to accept the prize and confirm their full name, bank account sort code, bank account number and may be required to provide photographic ID such as a passport or driving licence..  

INSTANT WIN PRIZES

17. 2,000 x cash prizes of £200 (or € equivalent at the time of win for ROI winners) are available to be won during the Promotional Period.

INSTANT WIN PRIZE SELECTION

18. Winners of instant prizes will be determined by a secure and automatic computer-generated algorithm that produces verifiably random results. Each entrant's chance of winning is based on the promotional volume of 7,494,230 vs the number of Instant Win prizes to be given away at the start of the promotion. The odds of winning an instant prize are 1 in 3,747. The chance of winning will not decrease across the Promotional Period. Wins will be allocated independently by the system using an algorithm. Although all prizes will be available to be won, there is no guarantee that they will all be won as the number of prizes actually won will be (statistically) dependent on participation rates.

INSTANT WIN PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION

19. Prize winners will be notified instantly on screen and will be required to confirm their full name, bank account sort code and bank account number. Their winning claim will then be validated, and the winner may be contacted by email by the Promoter’s agent to confirm their identity, compliance with these Terms and Conditions and may be required to provide photographic ID such as a passport or driving licence. Once validated, successful winners will receive an email confirmation of their Prize within 7 working days of entry.

PRIZE DELIVERY

20. All cash prizes will be awarded by Bank Transfer (BACS) made by the Promoter’s agency. Bank transfer is the only method of prize transfer available. Prize payments to be made within 10 working days of successful winner verification and of relevant details being provided by the winner. The Promoter will not be responsible for any missing prize awards resulting from incorrect bank account details having been provided by a winner.
21. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner(s) to receive the relevant information to allow fulfilment of the applicable prize. Regular reminders (up to 3) will be sent out to winner(s). Inaccurate information may result in the prize being forfeited. If a winner has not responded to notifications after 14 working days or if a selected winner is ineligible, otherwise in breach of these Terms and Conditions or unable to or declines to take up the prize for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and to reallocate the prize by selecting a new winner from all remaining entries in accordance with the process described in these Terms and Conditions. Winner should retain their notification message until their win has been verified.
22. The Promoter is not responsible for any entries which fail to be registered or are delayed for any technical or other reason whatsoever. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility in the event a winner does not receive their prize for whatever reason, including in the event that a winner provides an incorrect email address during registration to enter.
23. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter and its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate entrants for any losses that may be incurred as a result of entering the promotion and the Promoter does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of a winner’s acceptance of a prize except where such damage or loss is caused by the negligence of the Promoter or its agents. The winner’s statutory rights are not affected.
24. No correspondence: Winner selection is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into, except with the prize winners.

GENERAL INFORMATION

25. A list of winners’ surnames is available on request. Please email your request to dolmio@promotioncustomerservices.com within 3 months of the end of the Promotional Period. Should a winner object to their information being made available, they should contact the Promoter by emailing dolmio@promotioncustomerservices.com. The Promoter may nevertheless disclose information to regulatory authorities if required by law to do so.
26. In the event a winner requests for their personal data, including email address and phone number to be deleted, the Promoter cannot be held responsible if such request means that it is unable to complete delivery of the winner's prize or assist them following deletion of their data. The name, contact details and bank account details of the winners will be retained for 30 days after a prize has been fulfilled to allow the Promoter to deal with any queries from the winner, and always in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Surname details may be retained and made available to members of the public in accordance with Condition 25.
27. Winners may be asked if they consent to take part in reasonable publicity relating to this promotion without further remuneration.
28. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the winning entries including by asking for the winner’s identity, including proof of age  (which they must provide within 14 days but which will not be retained following verification by the Promoter and redemption of the prize) and may refuse to award a prize or withdraw a prize entitlement and/or refuse further participation in the promotion and disqualify a participant where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions (including entry requirements) or otherwise where a participant has gained unfair advantage in participating in the promotion or won using fraudulent means.
29. The Promoter may at its absolute discretion disqualify any participant found to be tampering with the application process or operation of the website or to be acting in any manner disruptive to the promotion.
30. Sometimes, through reasons outside of the Promoters control, the website (as with any website) may not be accessible. The Promoter cannot guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the website. No responsibility will be accepted for any difficulties in entering, claiming or any entries/claims delayed or corrupted. The Promoter will have no liability for any loss arising out of such an event.
31. Limitations of liability: insofar as permitted by law, neither the Promoter nor the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability for:
    1. Any faulty, incorrect, errors or failed electronic data transmissions;
    2. Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion;
    3. Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof;
    4. Insofar as permitted by law, any injury or damage to participants or to any other person (or their property) which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the promotion.
32. If any clause of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then it shall be deemed deleted from these Terms and Conditions. The remaining clauses shall be unaffected and remain in full force and effect.
33. This promotion and these Terms and Conditions (and any disputes/claims arising out of or in connection with them) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and the parties to any dispute or action shall submit to the jurisdiction of the English and Welsh courts. However, if you are resident in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, you may bring your claim before the Scottish, Northern Irish or Irish courts, if you wish.
